New and Remade Heroes Coming to S9

Last season brought big changes to Honor of Kings, and the upcoming S9 update looks set to continue the momentum. According to recent announcements, several new heroes and classic champions will either make their debut or return with full remakes. This news has sparked strong interest among Melbet Affiliates, who are always on the lookout for the game’s latest meta-defining changes.

Originally, the developers had teased a mysterious hero reveal on Tencent Video back on the 19th of last month. From the silhouette, it appeared to be a brand-new character. However, following delays in the patch rollout, the official release image was changed to Dreamy (Meng Qi). In addition, previews of three other silhouetted new heroes were also postponed. Dreamy is just the beginning—more characters are scheduled to be released soon.

Among the upcoming names, players can expect to see Gongsun Li, Yixing, and Mingshiyin. These heroes—classified as mage, marksman, and support respectively—belong to the same magical race as Dreamy. Although the names are still tentative, they are expected to be officially introduced during the S9 season. Meanwhile, several older heroes are undergoing skill overhauls or complete reworks. For instance, a reimagined version of Arthur was announced back in June but still hasn’t gone live after five months of delays.

Heroes receiving both model and skill redesigns include Nuwa, Hou Yi, and Aileen. Among them, Nuwa has already been rolled out to the test server for public trials. These remakes are generating plenty of speculation from both casual players and strategic Melbet Affiliates eager to plan around new playstyles.

So far, the most likely remade heroes to launch soon are Di Renjie, Zhang Liang, and Nuwa. With the current version of Honor of Kings already featuring Dreamy, a redesigned map, and new gameplay modes, many fans are now looking ahead to what the S9 season will deliver. The remakes fall into two categories—visual model updates and skill revamps. Di Renjie, for example, is receiving a full visual overhaul for all his skins and classic look. While initially expected to be included in the current version, the design team is still refining his art assets.

As for skill remakes, they’re classified into partial and complete reworks. Two notable examples still being optimized in the test server are Zhang Liang and Ganjiang & Moye. The latter’s revamp includes an increase in flying sword count and a redesign of the ultimate ability—no longer “throwing his wife,” as players jokingly put it. However, the final skill kits are subject to official release confirmation.

For Melbet Affiliates following game updates closely, the rollout of these new and reworked heroes is more than just a patch—it’s an opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and build smarter strategies for the evolving battlefield. As the S9 season approaches, these shifts promise to reshape the meta and offer players new challenges and excitement.
